As part of ongoing outreach activities, PAR University of Applied Sciences organised a guest lecture in which its own students took on the role of speakers. The event, held at PAR, was aimed at presenting the dual education model through real-life student experiences and encouraging discussion about higher education pathways in Croatia and beyond. PAR students shared how their academic journeys are shaped by the dual model, which integrates classroom learning with structured internships and professional engagement. They spoke about the challenges and benefits of combining studies with competitive sport, navigating international experiences through Erasmus+ mobility, and participating in project-based learning both at home and abroad. Their presentations offered high school seniors a direct and honest insight into what it means to study at PAR. Beyond the academic aspect, students also reflected on how the model shaped their personal development, self-confidence and adaptability. A particularly engaging part of the session was the open dialogue with students, which sparked meaningful questions about employability after graduation. The discussion highlighted growing interest among young people in study models that offer more than traditional classroom learning. Events like this reflect PAR’s commitment not only to academic excellence, but also to raising awareness about innovative education approaches, and involving students as active contributors in shaping the future of learning. The audience responded with curiosity and plenty of questions, opening up a wider conversation about education in Croatia vs. abroad. The event showed that students themselves can be powerful messengers, and that learning is often best explained by those who live it every day.
