Publication “Digital Skills in the Future of Work”
The volume covers the field of digital humanities regarding the future of work. What digital skills will be needed in the nearby future? How digitization and digitalization change the very nature of science and the workplace? The authors represent higher education institutions which form the EU4Dual European University, as well as associated Ukrainian universities. Therefore the papers are often a result of applied and cooperative research, done together with the industry. As such they focus on practical usage of digital humanities and digital skills.

The publication was carried out as part of a project funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under a task commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Science (MEiN) entitled “Solidarity with Ukraine – European Universities”, within the project “EU4DUAL4Ukraine”. This publication is also a result of the Lighthouse Research Initiative “Interdisciplinarity in Social Sciences. A European Way of Life”, led by the Koszalin University of Technology – Digital Humanities and New Media Lab, within the EU4Dual. The volume features contributions that address diverse topics—from the role of innovation in fostering inclusive workplaces and virtual reality’s impact on anxiety reduction in business education, to organizational culture in cybersecurity and AI’s application in manufacturing automation.

This collection provides critical insights into current challenges and trends such as youth labor markets in Poland and Ukraine, the significance of digital personal branding, and cybersecurity’s importance in healthcare and critical infrastructure resilience. It also engages with broader societal questions, including combating disinformation and the development of digital humanities as a discipline.
