Industry 4.0 is changing manufacturing faster than training can follow. Gap analysis shows what operators currently know — and what they will need to know when smart systems arrive on the factory floor.
Key findings:
- Operators need to read and respond to smart system notifications in real time
- User interface design is critical to reducing cognitive load and errors
- Shifting responsibilities between job profiles requires early organisational planning
- Training works best when it is short, practical, scenario-based, and in the operator’s own language
