PAR University of Applied Sciences hosted students from DHBW (Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg) for a two-week international exchange focused on dual education, intercultural learning, and applied research. The programme was held in Rijeka, Opatija and Krk. During the first week, students explored the local business and innovation ecosystem through a series of company visits and expert talks. Highlights included visits to Jadrolinija, where they learned about strategic management in the maritime sector, and Hubazzia, a creative innovation hub in Opatija focused on entrepreneurship and sustainability. Cultural excursion to Krk Island complemented the academic content and gave students a feel for the region. The second week was dedicated to independent research, where students used PAR’s facilities to further develop their project work. Topics included intercultural management, entrepreneurship, and innovation, supported by mentoring and peer exchange. The programme offered students valuable insight into how dual education connects theory with practice, while also fostering international understanding and cooperation. The exchange strengthened academic ties between PAR and DHBW and showed how immersive learning experiences help shape well-rounded, future-ready professionals.
