KUT-SAVONIA Coil Project in Language Learning (March 2025)

This Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project between KUT and Savonia aimed to enhance students’ language skills and teamwork in an international environment. Participants joined online meetings and collaborated in smaller groups. Their final task was to create audio or video presentations on logistics-related topics, such as automation and international team management, fostering cross-cultural competence and knowledge exchange.

Stock Exchange School Courses for Students (April – June 2025)

Koszalin University of Technology (KUT), in collaboration with the Warsaw Stock Exchange Foundation, launched its Stock Exchange School. The program offers hybrid courses—’Investment Basics’ and ‘Stock Exchange for Intermediate Investors’—aimed at spreading financial knowledge. The initiative links financial education with the principles of sustainable development and socially responsible investing (SRI), supporting the Green Economy (GE) cluster. Graduates receive microcredentials from KUT.

EU4DUAL Entrepreneurial Winter School 2024

The Winter School involved 70 participants from ESTIA, Savonia, and MU, including 8 student-entrepreneurs presenting start-up market studies. The event fostered collaboration among students and professionals from EU4DUAL partners, emphasizing intercultural and intergenerational exchange. ESTIA’s entrepreneurial task force played a key coaching role. The connection of several entrepreneurs to the MOB’E international mobility program reinforced the strong link between entrepreneurship, education, and mobility within EU4DUAL.

First EU4Dual Partner Labs Internship Exchange

As part of the EU4Dual alliance, ESTIA welcomed Margarita, a student from Savonia University of Applied Sciences, for the alliance’s first research internship exchange. Hosted by ESTIA’s Research Department, Margarita contributed to the development and deployment of a device designed for optimizing water irrigation systems, combining technical innovation with sustainability-focused research. The experience marked a significant milestone for cross-border student mobility and international research cooperation.

Entrepreneurial Mobility Journey of Romane Forment

Romane Forment, an ESTIA engineering student and self-employed entrepreneur, participated in the EU4DUAL entrepreneurial mobility pilot in early 2024. Supported by both the Savonia Business Incubator and ESTIA Entreprendre, Romane developed her venture with dual mentorship, gaining international experience in two distinct entrepreneurial ecosystems. Her success showcases the alliance’s commitment to integrating dual education with entrepreneurship, leading to Romane becoming a fully incubated entrepreneur.

Empowering Mobility: Paving New Pathways for Professional Growth

Between May 12-16, 2025, nursing students attended a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) in Kuopio, Finland. The mobility focused on patient safety in surgical nursing, combining academic learning with cultural immersion. Students engaged in hands-on sessions (patient positioning, airway management) and visited local hospitals for real-world insights. Collaboration with peers from Finland, Austria, and Slovenia enriched the experience, fostering valuable international professional connections.

As part of the EU4DUAL 2025 Annual Conference, 11 MCAST students participated in a dynamic 24-hour innovation challenge. They collaborated with peers from nine universities to solve real-world sustainability issues. This intense, hands-on experience fostered creativity, teamwork, and practical problem-solving under pressure. Participants praised the challenge as a highlight, deepening their understanding of sustainable business practices and preparing them for future global challenges.

Digital humanities and digital skills in the future of work

This publication explores how digital humanities is shaping future workplaces. Written by academics from EU4Dual and Ukrainian institutions, the book examines how digital skills and technologies like artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0 affect science, work and cultural heritage. Focusing on practical and collaborative research, it provides insights into using digital humanities in education and industry.

Sustainable growth for international SMEs

How can businesses expand into international markets in a sustainable way? In March 2025, Savonia UAS welcomed students from the Netherlands and Germany (DHBW) for an international Erasmus+ BIP (Blended Intensive Programme) week.
