The successful organisation of the European Dual Higher Education Conference (EU4DUAL 2025) has been officially recognised in Donostia / San Sebastián for its contribution to international knowledge exchange and academic cooperation.

As part of a city initiative promoted by Donostia San Sebastián Turismoa and Centro Kursaal, 27 professionals were acknowledged for attracting high-level international congresses to the city.

Among them, Jon Altuna Iraola, Academic Vice-Rector of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, was recognised for bringing the EU4DUAL 2025 Conference to Donostia.

The conference gathered around 300 representatives from across Europe, reinforcing the role of the EU4DUAL Alliance as a leading European University Alliance in Dual Higher Education.

Beyond the event itself, EU4DUAL 2025 strengthened:

• Transnational cooperation between higher education institutions
• Dialogue between academia and industry
• The visibility of Dual Higher Education within the European Higher Education Area

This recognition reflects how European University Alliances generate tangible regional impact while advancing shared European objectives.
