Staff Week on Future of Work

From May 13th to 17th, 2024, FH JOANNEUM hosted its first International Staff Week under the EU4DUAL framework, focusing on the "Future of Work." The event welcomed 21 participants from 11 countries, featuring workshops, company visits, and cultural activities. EU4Dual GC2 Kick-off: Green Economy Initiatives

The GC2 kickoff events during Savonia International Week introduced EU4DUAL’s green economy initiatives to 46 participants from various countries. Activities included hybrid workshops and presentations aligned with the European Green Deal and UN Sustainable Development Goals. The events also supported the launch of a joint master’s programme in Sustainable Future, fostering collaboration among universities on pedagogy and sustainability. Key discussions focused on shared visions, implementation strategies, and aligning efforts with global sustainability frameworks.

Sustainable Growth for International SMEs

Erasmus+ BIP week at Savonia UAS (March 2025) with guests from Germany and the Netherlands explored the question “How do international markets open up for businesses in a sustainable way?” through ESG-focused sales processes and roadmaps for SMEs.

Empowering Cross-Border Entrepreneurship

Savonia University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with ESTIA (France) and with the other EU4DUAL alliance members, has launched an innovative entrepreneurial mobility program. This initiative enables students to engage in cross-border entrepreneurship, combining academic learning with real-world business development. EU4Dual Sustainability Report

The European University Alliance EU4DUAL has published its first sustainability report. This 44-page report, based on the European Standards for Sustainability Reporting (ESRS), covers the year 2023 and provides an overview of EU4DUAL's sustainability performance. It includes data from nine partner universities and input from stakeholders like students, staff, and industry partners. The report addresses topics such as the value chain, emissions data, and the alliance's sustainability strategy.

Digital humanities and digital skills in the future of work

This publication explores how digital humanities is shaping future workplaces. Written by academics from EU4Dual and Ukrainian institutions, the book examines how digital skills and technologies like artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0 affect science, work and cultural heritage. Focusing on practical and collaborative research, it provides insights into using digital humanities in education and industry.
