Theme: The Societally Relevant Dual Higher Education – Empowering Agency in a Changing World

In times of climate emergency, AI advancements, and social challenges, dual higher education connects academic learning to real-world experience. We invite submissions for European Scientific Journal for Dual Higher Education (ESJ DHE) 2026/1. This issue will examine how dual education boosts societal agency and future readiness.

We welcome empirical, comparative, conceptual, and practice-based contributions that examine, for example how

  • work-based learning fosters competence development.
  • curricula and institutional designs bridge academic learning and real-world practice.
  • Dual higher education can address issues like inclusion, mental health, and well-being.
  • Dual higher education can also engage societal stakeholders in new ecosystems and partnerships.
