San Sebastian, Spain – November 15, 2022
On 15 and 16 November the 2022 Forum on Vocational Excellence has taken place in San Sebastian, Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, Spain, at the TABAKALERA International centre for contemporary culture.
It has included the participation of the partners of ongoing CoVE projects, as well as other Vocational Excellence initiatives currently being developed in Europe and beyond, that form part of wider partnerships and networks in Vocational Education and Training (VET).
The event has also benefited from high level political representatives, including national governments (from both EU and ETF partner countries), social partners and their European level representatives, VET provider associations, regional authorities, International organisations, together with European institutions and Agencies.
The event has been divided in three rounds of breakout sessions focusing on presentations of concrete ongoing CoVE projects, networking and partner matchmaking opportunities for future Erasmus+ calls and thematic discussions on topics relevant to Vocational excellence activities.
Jon Altuna, Academic Vice-Rector of Mondragon Unibertsitatea and one of the leaders of the alliance has taken part in the forum by presenting the EU4Dual alliance and its major aspects. The Chair of the Academic Council has also shared some key messages regarding the future of the alliance and its contribution to Higher Education.
According to him, “We need to foster cross-boundary policies between Higher Vocational Education and Training and University Education in areas like dual education or lifelong learning if we want European Commission Centers of Vocational Excellence and University alliances to work together.”
