About the company: MCAST was established in 2001 and is Malta’s leading vocational education and training institution. MCAST consists of six institutes in Malta and the Gozo Campus. This educational institution offers over 190 full-time courses and over 300 part-time vocational courses ranging from MQF level 1 to level 8. One of MCAST’s six institutes is that of Engineering and Transport. The Institute is organised in a number of departments and centres covering the Aviation Maintenance and Training, Building and Construction, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, and Maritime Studies
Job duties: The job entails the setting up of a list of experiments to be carried out on the department’s Festo Cyberphysical laboratory facility to cover current level 4 and level 6 related courses and also potential courses that are a requirement in today’s and tomorrow’s industry. The job is to include but not limited to conducting research, gathering of data, drawing up of experimental procedures and lecturer training.
Specific qualifications: Students in the final year of a level 6 degree related to Mechatronics, Control, Robotics and AI and/or at a higher level.
