Brief description

The John von Neumann University (JvNU) is an “Age-Friendly” university, a member of the Global Network of Age Friendly Universities.

By winning the title, we committed ourselves to the cooperation of the older and younger generations and to the development of the labor market situation of the elderly.

The mission in this context is the transmission of education, scientific knowledge and cutting-edge knowledge across generations.

Outcomes

As a result, the chances of the older generation wishing to return to the labor market or to remain there, having acquired up-to-date, practical knowledge, increase, and they can more successfully meet the challenges of today.

Challenges and solutions

JvNU is the first in Hungary to declare that it is important for its management and staff to keep in mind the inclusion and utilisation of the experiences of the aging age group, as well as the satisfaction of their educational and cultural needs, in their daily operations and when creating their strategic goals.
