The Rectors\u2019 Council of the EU4DUAL European University Alliance met in Brussels to review progress and shape the next phase of the Alliance\u2019s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosted by EURASHE, the meeting brought together the leadership of the nine partner universities at a decisive moment for EU4DUAL\u2019s long-term consolidation and integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strengthening Governance and Sustainability<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A central milestone was the operationalisation of the Alliance\u2019s legal entity (AISBL). The Council approved the accession of Koszalin University of Technology (KUT) and Duale Hochschule Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg (DHBW), reinforcing EU4DUAL\u2019s governance framework and enabling structured joint services and coordinated implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The extension period application and its associated budget were also approved, ensuring continuity between project phases and supporting the transition toward a sustainable operational model under the AISBL structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Endorsing the 10-Year Strategy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Rectors formally endorsed the EU4DUAL 10-Year Strategy (2026\u20132036), setting a clear long-term direction for the Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Structured around consolidation, systemic integration and global positioning, the strategy aligns with the Joint Long-Term Mission and provides a roadmap for the coming decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advancing Academic Development<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Progress in academic implementation continues:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Joint Master programmes are advancing toward accreditation and delivery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The Joint Industrial PhD strengthens the Alliance\u2019s applied research ecosystem and cross-border industry collaboration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Work on the Centre of Excellence and the Dual Studies Quality Label progresses toward establishing a recognised European framework for Dual Higher Education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Industry success stories highlighted the tangible impact of EU4DUAL\u2019s university\u2013industry model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Mobility and Internationalisation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Student and staff mobility pathways continue to expand in line with strategic objectives, reinforcing the Alliance\u2019s contribution to European skills development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Next Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Council identified immediate priorities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Operationalising the AISBL structure and service framework<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Finalising and submitting the approved extension application<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Strengthening recruitment and implementation of joint programmes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The meeting concluded with appreciation to EURASHE for hosting, to the Representation of the State of Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg to the European Union for the reception, and to Eurochambres for their participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      EU4DUAL continues to consolidate its position as a coordinated, governance-driven and forward-looking European University Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
