What gap analysis reveals — operators’ needs in the Industry 4.0 era
Industry 4.0 is reshaping manufacturing. But are operators and engineers ready?

Industry 4.0 is changing manufacturing faster than training can follow. Gap analysis shows what operators currently know — and what they will need to know when smart systems arrive on the factory floor.

Key findings:

  • Operators need to read and respond to smart system notifications in real time
  • User interface design is critical to reducing cognitive load and errors
  • Shifting responsibilities between job profiles requires early organisational planning
  • Training works best when it is short, practical, scenario-based, and in the operator’s own language
